What we do

ICIAIW delivers creative wellbeing programmes that embed reflection, identity and community within cultural, educational and community settings.

Our work supports individuals to develop emotional awareness, confidence and resilience through structured reflection tools and facilitated creative engagement. Activity is designed to be inclusive, preventative and accessible, particularly for young people, creatives and underrepresented communities.

Our Approach

ICIAIW’s methodology combines:

  • Structured reflection to support emotional literacy, self-awareness and agency

  • Creative practice as a non-clinical, inclusive method for expression and engagement

  • Facilitated group activity to encourage connection, dialogue and peer support

This approach allows wellbeing to be embedded naturally within creative participation, rather than delivered as a standalone intervention.

Activity & Delivery

ICIAIW delivers activity across four key strands:

  1. Reflection and Journaling Programmes
Guided reflection tools and facilitated sessions supporting confidence, clarity and resilience.

  2. Creative Wellbeing Workshops
Workshops combining creative expression, storytelling and group discussion to encourage participation and self-expression.

  3. Education and Youth Engagement
Activity developed for young people that supports reflection, emotional awareness and creative confidence within formal and informal education settings.

  4. Community and Cultural Activations
Pop-up events, talks and collaborative activity delivered in partnership with cultural organisations and community groups.

Programmes are adaptable and responsive to context, with delivery shaped in collaboration with partners.

Participants & Communities

ICIAIW prioritises work with:

  • Young people and emerging adults

  • Creatives and cultural workers

  • Individuals experiencing change, pressure or reduced access to creative opportunity

We are committed to inclusive practice and reducing barriers to participation.

Outcomes

  • Increase engagement in creative activity

  • Strengthen connection and sense of belonging

Outcomes are supported through reflective practice, participant feedback and learning-based evaluation.

Governance & Sustainability

ICIAIW is a Community Interest Company (CIC) by guarantee, ensuring that all activity is delivered for public benefit and any surplus is reinvested into social impact.

The organisation is guided by a board with experience across culture, wellbeing and community engagement.

Future Development

Funding will support ICIAIW to expand access to creative wellbeing activity, strengthen partnerships and develop sustainable models that embed reflection and creativity within everyday cultural spaces.
